1:1 Mentoring
I would love to work 1:1 with you to help you elevate your newborn images. My mentoring sessions are 2 days full of babies, business, posing & editing. I will share my secret to the perfect creamy baby skin & how to tighten up those poses to perfection. Both days will be hands on instruction, so bring your camera & laptop & be ready to learn!! :) I cannot wait to help you take your newborn photography to the next level!

- What camera do you shoot with?

My current go to is the Nikon Z6ii! I have 2 D750's as well!
- What lenses do you use?

Well, in the studio I shoot mainly with the 24-70 2.8. It is a workhorse lens that never fails. I also have the Sigma 35 Art lens & of course my nifty 50!! :) I have the Nikon 105 macro that I will use as well.
Outside, my Sigma 135 is my absolute fav! It is a great lens for all types of outdoor portraiture.
- Where are you located?

I am in Godfrey, IL. Alton is about 35 minutes across the Mississippi River from St Louis. It is a super cute little river town that also boasts being one of the most haunted towns in America!!
- What do you use to pose newborns?

I am currently using a table with 1 inch foam on top and then cover that with about 9 blankets. I use the Shape Shifters from Hello Little Props under my blankets & just love the flexibility I have with that system.
- Where do you get all of your props?

Well...I have a few gals that I have supported for years & then I have some amazing new gals that I have added to my go to vendors list.
A lot of the gorgeous floral headbands come from So Tweet Designs, Huckleberry Baby, & Girlologie Photo Props.
For newborn outfits, So Tweet Designs & No 2 Willow Lane are my favs! Timeless pieces that will never go out of style.
My beds, baskets & posing fabrics come from quite a few different vendors. A couple of favs are Bailey's Knits, Hello Little Props, Roses & Ruffles, & Freebird Props.
Mentorship Review
A one on one mentorship with Carrie allows you to learn from a talented artist but still be true to your own style. Carrie doesn’t just hand on sugar cookies, she challenges you to be a better version of you. I came to Carrie with some very specific areas I needed to address and not only did she show me what to do, she had me do it! (Of course with her close by to help). I returned to my studio with solid things to incorporate into my own practices and artwork. It’s not just “look what I do” mentorship it’s a “look what YOU can do” mentorship.
